Twitter seems to have taken the world by storm...micro blogging has become the latest craze and the outlet for many news breaking stories ranging from the
US Airways Airplane landing in the Hudson River back in January to this month's reports about the
Violet Protests from the Election in Iran. One things for sure...twitter has made a bigger impact on the world than anyone ever thought possible.
I started Twittering back in October 2008, I'd post here and there but it wasn't until I went to an Amanda Palmer concert that the hobby of tweeting became and addiction. Oh I could try to tell you I could quit tweeting at any time...but it would be a lie. There must be a 12 step program somewhere *lol*.

Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls). She used Twitter as an outlet to communicate with fans, take song requests during her concerts, do ticket give-aways, announcing secrete shows or random pillowfights etc. Since then she has started an online "club" of sorts on Twitter called the #LOFNOTC or

Computers and also made over $19,000 in the course of a month by using Twitter (which is $19,000 MORE than she made selling 30,000 copies of her CD produced with a major record label). The woman is simply Amazing.
I know I know...this isn't a review on the Power of Twitter it is supposed to be about the Free Apps and games...I know I know I'm getting to it! It seems, or so I have noticed that there are two big contenders for King of the Blackberry Twitter Application Empire. One of which is
TwitterBerry and the other is
ÜberTwitter.
TwitterBerryTwitterBerry is mobile client for posting updates to Twitter. It works over the data network, so you don't need to use SMS. Download TwitterBerry directly from your BlackBerry.
I used Twitterberry for the first few months I had my BlackBerry Curve. It worked pretty good, sometimes it would freeze if I was trying to use it to upload a picture but otherwise it was always reliable. You can make updates, View your Friend's Timelines, View your @Replies, Direct Messages and view your Friends List.
ÜberTwitterI have been converted...I use ÜberTwitter now for all my tweeting needs. Everything that I had hoped TwitterBerry would do (ie. things that you can do online) this one does and more! To me there is no comparison and I'm glad I switched.
With ÜberTwitter you can now view the Trending Topics, Follow/Unfollow people easily, Click user names as links to view their full profile, upload pictures and videos quickly and easily and you have the option to enable GPS on all your posts or pictures plus if there is a picture or video imbedded in the tweet there is a small preview of what it is. All of your @replies are shown in your Feed regardless if you are following the person. You also have the ability to RT and reply directly from posts. There is also a Copy Tweet and the ability to Delete your Tweets if you make a mistake. I honestly could go on and on about ÜberTwitter but just download it yourself and see what I mean.
